New round of grants for industry sustainability starts 1 May

Good news for industrial companies looking to become more sustainable: from 1 May 2025, you can again apply for subsidies to investigate energy-saving measures. The TSE Industry Studies scheme helps you identify the feasibility of CO₂-saving investments without bearing the full financial risks.

What will you be reimbursed for?

With this grant, you can commission two types of studies:

  • Feasibility studies: Is your sustainability idea technically and financially feasible? Get it investigated with 50-70% subsidy on costs.
  • Environmental studies: Want to know how much CO₂ reduction you can achieve with a particular investment? These studies are reimbursed for 50%.

Practical benefits

This grant offers several concrete benefits for your business that will directly contribute to your sustainability plans:

  • Grant rates up to 70% for SMEs and 50% for larger companies
  • Clarity on feasibility before making major investments
  • Better justification for your sustainability plans
  • Ability to compare multiple technical solutions

How does it work?

The application process is clearly laid out and consists of the following steps:

  • Prepare your application (or ask us for help)
  • Submit your application from 1 May 2025 to RFO
  • After approval, you can start your studies immediately
  • Use the results to make informed investment decisions

Be there on time

The scheme closes on 10 January 2026, but often the budget runs out before then. Last year, the budget was exhausted within just a few months, so don't wait too long to apply. More details on this grant can be found at the website of the RFO.
