A lasting farewell: Peter van Hooft looks back on his time at FLIE
After almost 24 years at TNO and an intensive and valuable four-year period at Fieldlab Industrial Electrification (FLIE), Peter van Hooft bids farewell. In a personal column in the magazine Europoort Circles he reflects on his time at FLIE, the collaboration with partners, and the great strides made towards industrial electrification and sustainability.
Peter was closely involved in the development of FLIE from the very beginning. What started in 2021 as an ambitious initiative, grew with his involvement into a dynamic ecosystem where over 20 projects were realised and over 30 companies collaborated on innovative solutions. From technical projects like the Power-2-DME pilot, to developing a digital twin platform within the PEOPLE project for education and further training - his contribution to the energy transition in the Rotterdam port area is undeniable.
With his departure, a new chapter begins for Peter: as a strategic project developer at Skytree, he remains committed to a sustainable future, now on a European and international scale.
We thank Peter for his hard work, inspiration and commitment and wish him every success in his new challenge! for both the economy and the climate. Read the full column by Peter van Hooft here.
