What is possible on FLIE's three test lines?

We are extremely proud that our pilot test site is under construction and by mid-2022 the first projects can start on one of our three test lines. A pilot at the Fieldlab helps to understand how electricity can be used to make specific industrial processes more sustainable. This form of testing is interesting for industrial end-users who want to implement new technologies, but also for technology providers who want to demonstrate their innovations. First research results circular industrial waste separation technology

Over eight million tonnes of waste are incinerated in the Netherlands every year. About eight million tonnes of CO2 released and valuable substances including metals and minerals are lost. It is therefore imperative that we find new solutions for processing our waste. DOPS Recycling Technologies' new Direct Carbon Immobilization (DCI™) separation technology is a promising solution that can recover primary raw materials without any significant amount of CO2 emissions. To validate this technology on an industrially relevant scale, the Fieldlab Industrial Electrification (FLIE), DOPS and Investa have joined forces.

Retrospective 28 March: the energy system of the future and today's innovation

On Tuesday 28 March, the theme day 'Large-scale generation and storage' took place at Campus@Sea. The day was organised from the Energy and Climate (E&K) Programme, which helps companies from the South Holland region to realise sustainable innovation. The aim of the day was to engage with stakeholders in the field to learn more about the opportunities and challenges around grid congestion and the energy system of the future. From the Fieldlab Industrial Electrification (FLIE), Peter van Hooft (director) was allowed to participate in the panel discussion together with Stedin and Huntsman.

FLIE and Energy Storage NL in discussion with industry on energy system of the future

On Monday 20 March and Tuesday 21 March, the annual Energy & Utilities Summit took place at the Duin & Kruidberg estate in Santpoort. During this exclusive event, some 70 directors and stakeholders from the energy & utilities sector came together The Fieldlab Industrial Electrification (FLIE) organised a session together with industry association Energy Storage NL, where 12 stakeholders discussed the role of energy storage in industry and the future energy system.
