VoltaChem meet-up: Hydrogen import versus local production 11:30 - 12:30
VoltaChem's Monthly Munchies is a series of virtual lunch breaks for members of the VoltaChem Business Community. In this edition, on 7 October (11.30 am - 12.30 pm), non-business stakeholders are also invited to join the session. During this session, we will take a deep dive into the hydrogen value chain. This topic will be explored by Hans Vrijenhoef (founder and chairman of the board of Proton Ventures and initiator of the Transhydrogen Alliance) and André Jurres (founder and director of VoltH2), who will zoom in on the value chains of: Producing hydrogen in a port area (e.g. the Netherlands) with locally produced renewable electricity; Producing hydrogen in a place where renewable energy is abundant, converting it into a hydrogen carrier such as ammonia, bringing it to a port like North Sea Ports and cracking the ammonia back into hydrogen.
